"Matrix" is a "fAERIE" name I gave myself, I took this name from the movie "The Matrix."

In the movie, "The Matrix" was a matrix set up by man-made machines which in-slaved and used the biological energy of their creators (man).
The Matrix was a false world to the in-slaved humans.
Hence my Faerie name Matrix is to remind me that what I think (my ego and identity) is merely that, only ego.
It's to say that what I think of myself, others, and the world in general is not real. For thinking is quite a bit different from being.

While you may think this too serious, it is quite empowering to know that mere perception is not total truth.

This reminds me to be open in my mind. To know that what I see is only what I see, nothing more.

I've always been a self-conscious sort, privy to whispers, gossip, and taking criticism poorly or too seriously. This resulted in over-whelming shy-ness for most of my life.

This name, "Matrix," reminds me to be myself
